Hat No. 206 is a 5 panel camp hat.

This particular model is made from 3 fabrics , all 100% cotton:

The hat outer is a diagonal weave blue and white striped denim. It is a soft and fairly thick fabric which makes for a comfortable , medium weight hat.

Under the peak and taping the seams I used a fine Italian deadstock poplin,  yarn dyed with a classic blue plaid.

The striking dark navy batik , used inside and outside the front panel,  is called Dandelion Wishes. It’s one of the hand blocked patterns from the Bali Batiks range of  Hoffman fabrics in 2024.

When it comes to sweatbands , I never buy them in.  Instead I make my own.  Because when you think about it, the sweatband is the only part of the hat that actually comes in contact with your head . Therefore I always strive to achieve a sweatband which gives maximum comfort .  The band on this hat is made from a peached denim mélange cotton which sandwiches an ultra thin layer of high density foam. The result is a band which feels soft and comfy no matter how tight you cinch it.  And because it’s cotton it always stays cool . You could call it a No Sweat sweatband!

Hat 206 is size Medium . It measures 58 cm , with an adjustment of +/- 3 cm.

The brim measures 7.5 cm , or 3 inches, and it’s made of bendable, unbreakable plastic.

The hat includes 2 brass air vents in each side panel , and a Velcro closure.

There’s a Sleepy Dog leather badge embroidered on the back quarter. And inside the band , you’ll find the embroidered serial number , 206, which proves this is,  indeed , a 1 of a Kind, completely unique,  Sleepy Dog Original Hat !
